£10,000 Warranty Seems like a Bargain – for a Bugatti!

Buying a second-hand car can be a worry; you never know if any car will be reliable, but used cars often have exhausted their manufacturer warranty and that can leave buyers to taking the risk themselves.

Imagine the risk if your second-hand purchase is a Bugatti Veyron. In Super Sport spec, the Veyron accelerates from 0-62mph in 2.5 seconds, and is still officially the ‘Guinness Book of World Records Fastest Production Car’, hitting an ‘unrestricted’ top speed of 267.8mph.

With that level of performance, anything going wrong is likely to be expensive. Fortunately for one lucky Bugatti buyer, high-end car dealer Tom Hartley is including a Warrantywise policy for the £2 million supercar.

Costing £10,000 for a year’s cover, the Platinum Plus warranty covers all mechanical and electrical parts, including oil seals, labour rates, air-conditioning, four turbochargers, sixteen cylinders, gaskets, drive belts, wiring looms and radiators – all ten of them! The warranty covers repairs up to the retail value of the car, including wear and tear, plus roadside assistance and car hire.

“The Bugatti Veyron is one of the most incredible cars ever built, but it comes with a price to match,” explains Lawrence Whittaker, CEO of Warrantywise. “Servicing and repair costs will always run into the tens-of-thousands, so we wanted to provide Tom Hartley and the Bugatti’s new owner with the best possible cover to make sure there are no unexpected bills at the start of their ownership.”
